French 106-12 months-previous pianist to release sixth album

PARIS, Feb 5 (Reuters) – Colette Maze says she began playing the piano when she was 4 years previous to come across in audio the heat absent in her rigid upbringing.

Maze, credits yoga and finger gymnastics for preserving her nimble. If she stops playing she would need to feed her creativity somehow. “But I will need one thing touchable. You want to flavor sweet, and my fingers require to come to feel the keys, to feel this,” as her feet access for the pedals and she starts to perform after extra.

Maze has just recorded her sixth album – a a few quantity recording of functions by Debussy, slated to be unveiled in April. Very last year, she recorded items by Debussy and a further big French composer, Erik Satie.

Her only son Fabrice Maze, born in 1949, says his mother is an inspiration for many others, particularly through the moments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“On just one hand she assists morale. That at 106 you can be on great type if you have enthusiasm and seems to be immediately after oneself — which is excellent news,” he claims.
