Congregation Adath Israel of Newtown’s Share and Treatment Committee is inviting people of the surrounding communities to take part in a food and coat push-up on Sunday, February 7.
The event will be held in the Adath Israel parking good deal, at 115 Huntingtown Street, from 10 am until noon.
To guarantee everyone’s safety in light-weight of COVID-19, committee users will collect donations from participants’ cars and trucks.
Food items will be delivered to the Monroe and Newtown meals financial institutions. New and carefully applied coats together with hats, scarves, gloves, and boots are welcome. Adath Israel is teaming up with the Association of Religious Communities in Danbury (ARC) to distribute apparel to space shelters.
Adath Israel held meals and garments drives in September and Oct of final calendar year, in addition to drives in 2019 and in 2018.
Sue Morse, head of the Share and Care Committee, reported she and other folks are “delighted to be in a position to assistance support folks who count on spot foodstuff pantries and shelters.
