Atlantis Pizzeria and Family Restaurant is the most current D.C.-region organization to be severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will shut Sunday, Jan. 24.

Atlantis — located in the Bradlee Purchasing Centre on King Avenue, in Alexandria’s west end — has been in small business for 38 years. It was preferred for its comprehensive menu of both of those genuine Greek and Italian meals.

“We are deeply saddened that it has occur to this position, but the pandemic has proven way too tricky for us to continue standard business enterprise,” house owners Bill and Jim Patrianakos mentioned in a Facebook post.

“We thank you for becoming these types of faithful consumers and letting us to be component of your family. We appreciate all your assist over the yrs, and it is with a weighty heart to be shutting our doorways.”

Its Fb information has generated much more than 300 remarks from let down diners considering that it was posted Sunday.

The restaurant had been supplying takeout because the COVID-19 pandemic began.
